Friday morning we took off for the coast. We were meeting with other family members at 11:30 at the Bandon Fish Market. There were 28 of us all together.
Heading down the road with our treats.
There was a horse art theme with pics hung on the dock. This one made me laugh, especially at the bottom: You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him participate in synchronized swimming. I didn't know that!
Cute and tall cousins!
Yummy food at the Bandon Fish Market.
Lots of cute kids.
Zoey loved this chair. Mostly she wanted to stand up and walk to the edge of it and make us nervous.
Usually we'd be seeking relief in a shelter from chilly wind but today it was relief from the warm sun with barely a breeze. Perfect day, really!
Zoey was rather crabby with crabby faces the whole weekend so we were trying to put this crab hat on her but she was having none of it! LOL. She loved that toy giraffe. We had fun going through the Cranberry Candy shop and the toy gift shop.
Pete and Lindsey were so great with the kids. They made it so much fun on the beach...chasing and running from waves, dipping the kids in the water, and building sand castles. I had so much fun watching them and watching the waves...they were awesome.
Zoey didn't like it too much but she was really fascinated by it.
A wave snuck up on Kylie while she was helping dig in the sand and it startled her and she tried to get out of the way but ended up taking a face dive right into the wave and the sand, and then jumped up trying to save her sand toy that was washing out with the wave even though her eyes were full of sand. We had no towels and no change of clothes for the kids. Sarah and Lindsey went and took her to the faucet and washed her off and wrapped her in my jacket, and she fell asleep on Lindsey's lap.
We noticed a house flying a pirate kite. LOL!
Zoey doesn't like the sand.
Awesome Mountain Castle.
Enjoying ice cream after the beach at the new Bandon cheese factory they call the Creamery.
Zoey liked Uncle Pete sharing his ice cream.
Elivia, Emma and Tyrel (with mom & dad) got here on Saturday morning. Elivia teasing Aunt Sarah about getting a hug. Kasey also arrived. We spent a lot of the day outside even though it was cool and windy and we even got a light rain for half hour. We had a picnic lunch and celebrated Tyrel's second birthday. Then had a salmon and pork chop dinner. Soren, Bryson and Baylee came over from about 3-9pm.
Picnic lunch!
Zoey and Tryel both wanted to eat off Grandma's plate. They don't like sharing their grandma. Great Grandma and Grandpa came to Tyrel's early birthday party.
Great Grandma gave him a hedge hog and he was afraid to get it out of the bag.
Elivia trying out Tyrel's new umbrella.
Went to church on Sunday and then let the kids have some activities in the afternoon. We played a few games, and had a treasure hunt. We had nachos for lunch and grilled chicken burgers for dinner. Aunt Kathleen, Tonya, my parents, and Hyrum & Nancy and kids all came in the late evening for a visit.
Jaymz going on the slip & slide! Those kids braved that cold water very well.
Chillin'
Last breakfast before going home on Monday. They were sad they had to go home. Emma was worried I didn't know where Klamath Falls was, and her and Elivia were concerned it was a long long way away. They were sad Pete and Lindsey were gone.Emma giving me a brave smile. She wanted to sit on my lap most of the morning. It was a wonderful weekend with a lot of good memories. It was sad after everyone left and I wish we could have had another 2 days together.
