I especially enjoyed Elder L. Tom Perry's talk. It was very inspirational. He talked about the image of the church and how we need to work together to dispel those false and undesirable images. He showed some video of random people being asked what a "Mormon" is and some of there answers included polygamy, bigamy, cult, different. 31% of people do not believe Mormon's are Christians. Just like Moroni hoisted and carried the title of liberty, we are expected to hoist and sustain the image of the church. Through the strength of the Lord we can do this. He shared lots of different way we can share the gospel. Lots of them we've heard before. He did mention using modern technology such as blogs and facebook to share our testimonies, and we can include the awesome video clips the church is making called Mormon Messages that you can link to from YouTube. Elder Perry said, "The world needs our witness even more than ever."
Here are some pictures of him after he came in to take his place on the stand. Elder Russel M. Nelson accompanied him. That's Julie Beck in the pink jacket and you can see some of the other general presidency members there.
